How it works
How our 50K SmartPacks work
Every dataset is split into numbered files of about 50,000 records. Your account remembers which packs you have, so repeat purchases never include the same pack twice.
One pack = one numbered file
Each normal production file contains approximately 50,000 records and receives a permanent pack ID, for example UK-0007. The exact record count of every pack is measured by our inventory scanner and shown at delivery.
| You buy | You receive |
|---|---|
| 50K | 1 pack |
| 100K | 2 packs |
| 250K | 5 packs |
| 500K | 10 packs |
| 1M | 20 packs |
Never the same SmartPack twice
Your account keeps a permanent list of every pack ID delivered to you. When you buy again, the system automatically skips those IDs and picks the lowest-numbered packs you have not received.
Example for a customer buying 100K three times from a dataset with packs 0001โ0006:
- First order โ
0001+0002 - Second order โ
0003+0004 - Third order โ
0005+0006 - A fourth order is refused, because no unseen packs remain. You can ask to be notified when new packs are added.
What "never twice" does and does not mean
- It is per customer. Another customer can buy the same pack IDs you bought. Packs are not exclusive unless a product page explicitly says a pack is exclusive.
- It guarantees you never receive the same pack again. Different packs are processed to avoid overlap, but real-world business data can contain the same company listed at two addresses or under two names; see our data quality page for measured duplicate figures.
Reservation while you pay
When you start checkout, your packs are reserved for your order until the invoice expires. If you pay, the reserved packs are allocated to you. If the invoice expires, the reservation is released.
