Data sourcing
Our standards for where marketplace data comes from and what we refuse to sell.
Our standard
We only list datasets that DataPackHub has the right to process and distribute. The marketplace has two kinds of dataset:
- Individual contact data โ phone and contact details of individuals. A individual-contact dataset is only published after the operator records, on the dataset itself, how the records were collected, what buyers may use them for, the lawful basis / permission documentation held, and a compliance note. These statements are shown on the dataset page so you can judge them before buying.
- Business contact data โ organisation names and business contact details.
What we will not list
- Data obtained through hacking, breaches or stolen credentials.
- Sensitive personal categories: health or medical data, religious or political affiliation, ethnicity, sexual orientation, financial account or card details, government identifiers, precise private locations, or data about children.
- Individual contact lists presented as "opt-in" without a documented source and permission record.
Our inventory scanner flags files containing columns that look like sensitive data and withholds them from sale until an administrator reviews them.
Removal requests
If you believe information about you or your business appears in our data and should be removed, use the data removal request form. We act on valid requests and exclude removed records from future versions.
